Routes & Roots
In South Georgia, there’s a place where highways intersect and history runs deep. Welcome to Tifton, where the routes bring you here, and the roots make you want to stay. Conveniently located at the crossroads of I-75, U.S. Highway 41, Highway 82, and Highway 319, Tifton is more than a pin on the map. It’s a small town with a big heart and an even bigger story, one that stretches from our fields to our front porches, and from our festivals to our local shops.

???? All Roads Lead to Tifton
Whether you are road-tripping to Florida, exploring Georgia’s backroads, or just looking for a scenic detour, Tifton is the perfect stop. Just a few hours from Atlanta, Tampa, and the Georgia coast, we’re right where you need us, at the center of four major routes that have brought travelers and traders through our community for generations. But don’t just pass through, step out and see what makes us special.

???? Our Roots in Agriculture Run Deep
Tifton’s story begins in the soil. With rich farmland and a legacy of innovation in ag research, we’re proud of our roots. You can experience it first-hand at the Georgia Museum of Agriculture, a living history museum where blacksmiths, cotton gins, and syrup boilers come to life. Head to Rutland Farms or Berry Good Farms where you can find something to pick year-round, find gifts grown in our backyard and don’t forget to indulge in some homemade ice cream too!

???? Culture, Community & Southern Charm
Downtown Tifton offers a walkable mix of old and new: historic buildings turned into cozy boutiques, a charming art deco theatre hosting events, and cafes that serve sweet tea with a smile. Our murals and music give a voice to our creativity, while our calendar stays full of farmers markets, concerts, and festivals that welcome visitors like neighbors.

????️ Rest Easy, Stay Awhile
With hotels just off the interstate and charming short-term stays near downtown, it’s easy to make Tifton your home base for exploring South Georgia. Spend a relaxing evening under the pines at Fulwood Park, enjoy a local meal, and wind down the day with a stroll or a show.
