Fallin’ for Fall at the Farm

There’s something about fall in South Georgia that feels like home, the crisp air, the sound of rustling corn, and the scent of fresh peanuts being dug and then picked from the fields. For generations, families have found that feeling at Rutland Farms in Tifton. What began in 1916 as Charlie Rutland’s 36-acre farm has grown through five generations into one of the South’s favorite agri-tourism destinations. Ryan and Meredith Rutland now carry on that legacy, bringing new energy and ideas to the farm while keeping its family roots strong.

Each fall, Rutland Farms transforms into a scene straight out of a Southern storybook. The corn grows tall and golden, the pumpkin patch bursts with color, and the farm buzzes with laughter and life, you can even hear the goats from the petting zoo. Home to the largest corn maze in the South, an incredible 35 acres, Rutland Farms invites visitors to wander, explore, and make memories in the heart of Tifton. Whether you’re chasing your kids through the maze, picking the perfect pumpkin, or savoring homemade ice cream, baked goods, and cider from The Market, it’s a fall tradition that brings people together year after year.

For the Rutland Family, the farm is more than a business, it’s a way to share their love of agriculture, family, and community. When they opened, we were able to ensure that we not only had another location for family-friendly activities, yet they have just continued to expand year after year! With u-pick strawberries, peaches, & wildflowers, their storefront stocked with Georgia Grown goodies and the scent of fresh baked goods, the friendliest petting zoo and events that keep you coming back for more, there is something for everyone out at the farm! When the leaves begin to turn and the air feels a little cooler, make your way to Rutland Farms this fall. Take a hayride, find your pumpkin, and get lost in the biggest corn maze in the South.
