Tickets are $17 per person and must be purchased in advance. Tickets will not be sold at the event. Children one year of age and under are free. Children two years of age and older must have a ticket. \nGuests will begin their journey in Santa’s Bakery where Santa’s elves will read the holiday classic\, “The Polar Express.” Guests will then board the North Pole Express to visit Santa Claus and enjoy the movie version of “The Polar Express.” Photo opportunities abound throughout this festive candy-themed holiday event. \nThe Museum’s 1917 Vulcan steam locomotive will depart for the North Pole every 20 minutes from 5 to 8:20 p.m. on the six nights of the event. \nGuests are encouraged to arrive a few minutes before their scheduled session for the best experience possible. DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the 150th anniversary of Tifton at the Farm to Table Dinner on Saturday\, May 14 at ABAC’s Georgia Museum of Agriculture Peanut Museum. This ticketed event highlights the impact of agriculture in Tifton over the past 150 years. Guests will enjoy a cocktail hour and live music starting at 6:30 p.m. Dinner will begin at 7:30 p.m. with a menu curated using locally grown products by Chef Jay Johnson\, Head Chef at the Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. Homegrown entertainment showcases live music by the County Line Band\, as well as square dance calling by Tifton-Tift County Tourism Executive Director Tyron Spearman. The event is supported by Kelley Manufacturing Co. and AgGeorgia Farm Credit. As local historian Ida Belle Williams wrote\, our community is “agriculturally blessed” and this event promises to celebrate all aspects of our history from pine trees and turpentine to produce and row crops. DESCRIPTION:Open every Saturday morning\, 9 AM – 12 PM\, April through July and October through Mid-November. The Market offers locally-grown produce (some organic)\, artisan breads\, fresh eggs\, jams/jellies\, vegan baked goods\, honey\, nuts\, plants\, and more. We are a community-based farmers market in the heart of South Georgia\, providing locally-grown and handmade products to locals and travelers alike\, sold by farmers and artisans themselves. Conveniently located right off I-75\, we are hosted by the acclaimed Georgia Museum of Agriculture and Historic Village. Find us at the pole barn behind the Country Store. More than just a great place to shop\, the Wiregrass Farmers Market is also a place to learn about food\, farming\, cooking\, and traditional skills. The market is sponsored by the Georgia Museum of Agriculture at ABAC\, and is organized and managed by a committee of citizen volunteers. No admission is needed for the market\, but you may choose to purchase admission to the museum and village and experience South Georgia's rural heritage and ride the steam train!
