Is there anything other than food that can conjure up the magic of both people we love, and places that are dear to us? ABAC’s “Listen to the Land 2: Food Cultures” launched in the spring semester of 2024 as a collaboration between ABAC’s School of Arts & Sciences and the GMA Art Gallery. The project looked at unexpected food cultures found in South Georgia, and what drives the people who observe those traditions. American Trapper, Gujarati, Jamaican, Southern Soul, Afghan Turkmen, Slovak, and Native American food cultures are all represented in this multimedia exhibition. The Gallery will open September 7th at 6 PM!
